The retail refurbishment of this Optus store required strict project management and attention to detail as the project was required to be completed with 14 days after demolition to ensure that the store could resume trading in the allowed timeframe. With the combined skills and effort of Brisbane’s RJR Shopfitting we were able to deliver this project on time.

Initially, the project consisted of demolishing the existing Optus store by removing all joinery, ceilings, shopfront, and the existing tiled floor.  Work then commenced on the new retail fitout starting with executing the site set-out.  Tenancy walls and the new ingo ceiling areas were repaired and painted. 

One of the pivotal points of this fitout was the floating tables suspended from the ceiling. This new design concept was based on the shop being supported by fully structural steel framework which was installed within the tenancy and ultimately supported all wall-bay joinery and island tables.

The new shopfront was built with a product called Charcoal Zenolite with glass to the shopfront and above. The shopfront column was modified to include an interactive TV for the enjoyment of Optus customers.

This was the first of this outstanding design to be built in Queensland.
